The world's oldest poem describes the journey of Goddess Inanna into the underworld.
During this journey, she passes through seven gates, removing a piece of armour or jewellery, eventually arriving to the underworld naked.
After facing her own shadows and vulnerabilities, she finds her power and is resurrected as Queen of Heaven and Earth.
This is the myth of Venus Retrograde.
From 23rd July to 3rd September 2023, Venus will be retrograde. During this time, she will disappear below the horizon and be reborn as a morning star.
During Venus Retrograde, we go through a period of introspection around our self-image, relationships and wealth.
We ask if we are truly valuing ourselves and how our lives could feel more delicious - we explore whether we are living in alignment with our heart's desires.
This year, Venus is retrograde in the sign of Leo, so we will be craving more authenticity, more romance, more passion and presence. We want REAL.
To me, this is a wake up call to feminines everywhere. We are done playing small. We are ready to LOVE ourselves and roar it from the underworld that we crawled from, teeth bared and bellies soft, hungry for what is ours.
