In 2022, I grew my Instagram following from around 1200 to 20k.
At the start, I had a technique; give the people what they want. And it seemed to work. Halle-fucking-lujah right?
Well, kinda.
Yes, at the beginning it was exciting.
But, as I grew, more and more mentors, classes and content told me again:
- focus on what the audience wants
- find out what your potential clients like
- make content that gives value
- it's not about YOU, it's about them
And bit by bit I lost ME.
I became bored, confused, burnt out, resentful, and it really reminded me of something...
...It was codependent as fuck.
As someone who has been a huge people pleaser, perfectionist, an overgiver, I know what it's like to focus so much on others that you lose sight of yourself.
This was something I had done BIG work on in my relationships, I'd coached others on it, but here it was again, in another form: business.
So much of what I see online these days is codependent.
- the trying to crack the code of "what will work" like there is some secret strategy that all successful people know (and being sold this lie by people who want our money)
- the comparing ourselves to other creators and letting our gifts fade into the noise
- the lack of boundaries, the scrolling, procrastination and inconsistency, the overwhelm and the freeze response that stops us from doing what we love
Here's why: Creation is inherently vulnerable.
So when our inner wounded maiden feels unsafe, fears rejection or failure, wants to please or impress, do it "right" it's hard to show up authentically and create from the heart.
And the funny thing was, for me, the more I tried to give my followers what I thought they wanted, the less money I made, and on the other hand, the posts that I really let myself BE MYSELF were the ones that did best and brought clients my way.
So I did what I always do when I'm stuck, I asked Goddess to guide me, and as always, she showed me what to do.
Over a period of a few weeks, I channelled a whole new business strategy.
I stopped following other people's paths, let go of control, and connected to the part of me that is wild and creative and playful and ecstatic.
The inner wild feminine.
She is the one they call muse, eros, shakti, spirit.
She is the one who will take your ideas and make them masterpieces, burn your endless to do list and make you real money.
Because when you bring, not just yourself, BUT SPIRIT, back into your business, you start co-creating, and that's where the magic is.

So no wonder we struggle to bring our businesses into their highest form. No wonder we get burnt out. No wonder we aren't where we want to be.
We are souls with a divine mission, all of us, and when we tune into our intuition, we take bold aligned steps towards it.
But in order to tap in and let the magic flow through us, we have to clear out the noise.
We have to drop the "shoulds" and the rules and release the wounded maiden's need for safety.
