The two major stars of the Gemini constellation are named Castor and Pollux, or the Polydeuces, after the Greek mythology. Castor and Pollux were twins known as the Dioscuri. One twin was killed in battle and the other asked for his brother to be saved. Zeus agreed if they spend half the year on earth and half the year in the sky, giving the dualistic nature of the sign.

One twin is the "earthly twin" and the other is the "divine twin". Gemini has the tendency to switch between two perspectives, self-images, personalities even.

When the two twins, or two parts meet, Gemini achieves oneness and all kinds of magic and enlightenment are created!
